The Mule Deer Foundation posted an article (see below) about remarks by a host of a show on the Outdoor Channel regarding CWD on Facebook. Just thought the thread would spark some interest on this forum.

I'm with Iron Mike. Clearly this is the first case of brain impairment from CWD in a human due to topical contamination from deer urine scents, unless he was actually drinking it. If I recall correctly, isn't this the guy with the obnoxious music all over his show? If he's that one, I've never been able to watch it due to the music, his printed thoughts are no better.

I tried to read the article this morning. I couldn't even make it through the entire article it was so bad. I have never been able to watch his shows and apparently, like everyone else, I won't be able to read anything written either. I guess facts and statistical studies mean nothing to people.

What a maroon! Scrapie is a similiar disease in sheep caused by a prion also. It has been a known sheep disease for over 250 years. Last time I looked we weren't popping off nukes in George Wasington's backyard. These clowns, woops, I mean "TV Celebraties" should be given IQ tests prior to being interviewed. Anyone under 80 isn't allowed on a show. That solves 90% of the problem.

Texas is starting to do a lot more research on it since it has shown up in whitetail. Oddly enough the only link found has been to a northern sire and possibly alfalfa shipped in from out of state.

This is ridiculous. I've never been a fan of his, but I figured "to each his own", maybe some guys really like him. Now I have good reason to say he's an idiot that shouldn't be representing hunters.

I thought his show was entertaining. However, those comments he made about cwd are STUPID.
