Here is a warning to all of you that will apply or purchase a license in Colorado this year.

They have gone to a new online system and I found out tonight that it is hosed, or at least my information in the system is hosed. On mine they put in another persons CC number and when I input my drivers license it says that it is for another person and won't let me get past the information page.

I am going to need to call them in the AM and see if I can get it straightened out so that I can put in for my spring turkey permit.

So if any of you are going to go through the system I suggest that you see if you can log into the application process now instead of waiting until application time comes around. At least that way if there is a problem you can get it corrected now instead of fighting it.

Jim, I actually called yesterday on this, as I was having the same issues.. The lady I spoke to said they were merging two systems (you may have noticed two different CID numbers, your original number, and the number that is on the new system). She advised they are still working on merging the systems, and to check back shortly.

I'll report any additional findings, as I come across them.

I only have one CID showing when I go to log in and I can't change it. When I go to input my drivers license it tells me that it is issued to someone else.

You have to love technology.

I'm still calling in the AM if nothing else just to see what is happening.

I did my spring turkey application over last weekend and everything worked OK for me, but I'm definitely not going to procrastinate when it comes time to do all my big game applications.

Well, I called them and got the run around.

They say that they are having problems with integrating two different systems and that I just need to keep trying. They have no idea on how long the problem will persist.

So their solution is that if you are having problems accessing your online account to just keep trying.

Well, I'm having issues, too. I tried to create an account, but it states I've already accessed the system before and I need to "look myself up". So, I tried to retrieve a new password and it can't find me. Talk about the run around.

Finally made it into the system, but ran into another problem. I had to renew my drivers license back in August 2017, so the system is trying to consider me a NR because it hasn't been 6 months. I gotta take proof a residency down to CPW to have them override the system. What a mess!!!

You should have the same DL number, I know that I have for quite a while.
I asked why they couldn't just look at my information and see that I've been a resident for over 10 years .... nope. Gotta physically go in the office and bring proof of residency.

Something tells me that for a few of us this is going to get real interesting trying to correct our information.

I had to get a new license not long ago but my number remained the same.

My DL # is the exact same one issued back in 2006, but since it was renewed within the last 6 months, that's the issue with the new system. Gotta go into the office. If you don't think there are going to be some upset folks, you're crazy. Luckily, I was in a good mood today. lol

Even though my license number was correct in my profile, when I tried to put in for the Turkey Draw the system wouldn't let me.
I called DOW (or whatever they are now) and they said it was because my license was reissued less than 6 months ago.
They updated their system and now I can get in again.

I just tried them again and I still can't get into my information page.

It still has a different CID number listed than what mine is and tells me that my DL is issued to another person.

Time to give them a call again and be a pain in their rear until this gets fixed.
