Well, if you have never written your state representative now is the time to start.
I am sure that you have heard that new bills were introduced on Thursday pertaining to firearms by the Liberal controlled Legislature.
They are:
HB 1219 which is a 3 day waiting period after you pass a background check. While this sounds good it will be a pain in the rear for anyone who has to drive to a store that sells firearms. My closest dealer with any inventory is 50 miles away.
HB 1165, has to do with shooting a firearm on private property. This one was tabled once but it looks like it may be resurrected.
SB 169, up the age to purchase a long gun, rifle or shotgun to 21
SB 170, increase who can file for the Red Flag law. This is the only one that I could even think of backing
SB 168, would remove an immunity provision for civil lawsuits against gun store owners and manufacturers
Then there is a bill that is still in the works to ban the sale of "assault weapons" From what I have seen they are arguing about definitions on this one
You can read a little bit more on each bill here, or do a search on the bill number such as Colorado HB 1219 2023 to read the full text of the bill.

While I am planning on writing my two legislator's I am crossing my fingers that they'll listen to me. The last time that I did it on firearm bills I didn't even get a return email.
