Thank God for safety glasses. I recently had cataract surgery and have become even more vigilant about wearing them whenever I am doing anything other than sitting in the recliner. That incident could have seriously changed your life, and not for the better.
Recover, rinse, repeat, (and maybe ban the atv owner from your shop).

I need to be better with safety glasses. I took a branch to the eye socket mountain biking in june. I had black spots in my vision for about a week. Concusion i guess.

This hasn't been my year.
First are the health problems but those are under control, I hope.
Then came my new roof. After 60 years the roofer found problems with every sheet of roofing that they peeled off of the existing roof. The dollars kept adding up and up from the original estimate. But what are you going to do when the work needs to be done and the workers are there to do it. My biggest surprise was my boiler fleu that comes up from the basement and into the fireplace chimney, it was totally rotten in the attic area. So bad that I was just venting the fumes into that space. I had found a section of bad flue a few years ago down in my crawlspace when I was checking out a new headlamp and had that piece replaced but never gave a thought about the rest of it. I still have a section that go through a enclosed wall that I need to get a bore scope in to see if I need to pull a wall apart.
Then it seams that if I start a project I break something that isn't even associated with what I'm working on. Yesterday I decided to place a shelf in my laundry area above the washer and drier. All was going well until I dropped a shelf brace behind the drier, that brace managed to stick a hole into my drier vent. Just one more thing to take care of.

How many of you are familiar with AFM(Active Fuel Management)....

Complete carburetor teardown for all three carbs. Then all new gaskets, fuel lines and clamps. Ultrasonic cleaning of everything.
Waiting on the manifold gasket to re-mount everything to the motor. Then, I’ll cross my finders and turn the key….
Oh yes, and I forgot to mention that the fishfinder that came on the boat that initially worked has now stopped working completely, and I have absolutely no idea what the hell is wrong with it.

It is a GM thing, others may have copied but I haven't deep dived it. Essentially a rod that is designed to collapse effectively shutting off a cylinder to produce better gas milage can fail and over time will wear the lobe off of the cam shaft.
