I too switched to Ramcat heads last year. They fly amazingly well for such a large fixed blade head. If your bow is tuned obviously. Prior to that I was shooting slick tricks and G5 T3s. The T3s were great and held up well. Blood trails were a little less than desirable. I'm really liking the Cats though. So I'll probably stick with them for awhile.

I've personally taken deer with Rage 2 and 3 blade, Muzzy 3 and 4 blade, Slick Trick 4 blade standards, WASP Boss 3 blade, Magnus Stinger Buzzcut and G5 T3's and never had an issue with any of them on deer. I've personally tracked deer taken with NAP Spitfire, Schwacker, Rocket Steelheads and Sidewinders with ease. Considering elk, my confidence is shaky with Rage and I would say stick with a good fixed-blade head or reputable mechanical designed for western big game. The top two choices that come to mind are Gravedigger (best of both broadhead worlds) and Grim Reaper Fatal Steel heads. I'm excited to give them both a try this fall and see what happens.
