What is everyone's favorite ballistics software? I am researching some different ones and I'm interested in opinions on this.

If you shoot Federal Factory loads, this one is very quick for Fed factory loads. http://www.federalpremium.com/ballistics_calculator/

If you hand load, it works about identical to the basic, not advanced, Hornady version Hilltop referred to. Has always got me close enough to start making a DOPE chart. If you are talking about using a program in the field at the time of the shot, I don't do that, but know some who do and use an app on their phone. Too many moving parts for me.

I use Ammoguide.com. I pay $17/yr., which I understand might rub a lot of guys the wrong way, but there is so much information on there it is worth it to me. I believe you can access a lot of the info without buying a membership though.

I am on the Hornady bandwagon. I printed out little sheets and taped them on the inside of my scope cover. On my muzzleloader, I have it taped to the butt-stock.

Applied ballistics or the shooter app can be downloaded on apple or android phones. Works fantastic. I'd recommend the shooter app as it is quite a bit cheaper than AP. I've taken many animals using both aps and they work extremely well

I use "Shooter" and have had real good luck with it. Easy to use just put your load info in and save and use away!
