Thanks we sure had a lot of fun. I can sit and look at pictures like these all day. You don't need but a few words as they tell a pretty darn good story all by themselves.

2012-10-21_08-01-23_262.jpgSunrises can be wonderful. Here's a lake in the Sierras.

2012-08-01_10-32-34_762.jpgI shouldn't have been here. It was steeper than it looked, and none of the rocks were secure. But there was a buck hiding in a small gnarly pine bush at the top of this slope.

Well... Did you get the buck?
No, didn't know he was there when I was climbing the slope to get a better view of the area to look for deer below. It wasn't until the buck jumped out and ran off that I realized I was doing it wrong. Newb hunter. No way anyone could get to the buck in his bedding area without being smelled, heard or seen.

It was up in that country. I forget the name of the little lake we went in to. He had some buddies get footage of a huge grizzly bear this same year we were in there only a couple miles away from where we were hunting. Pretty neat. It sure was rugged country and like you we got fogged out/snowed out a few days.
