They had a presentation at the Utah Wildlife Board meeting that is going on right now. It is quite a interesting concept. They are asking for it to be legalized for the any weapon hunt and not the archery hunts

That would be pretty funny. I think Montana does that with crossbows.

Wont' be long before we will be shooting lasers from drones.

I have no problem with it during the rifle hunt as proposed. I don't think it belongs in an archery hunt though.

Will be interesting to see how much influence the mfg has in this case. I'm sure their sales will not do well if it's only legal to use when other hunters have rifles.

In many ways they are trying to sell an advantage, but this might be too much IMO.

In states where they struggle to harvest enough animals of whatever species it makes great sense. Many eastern states struggle to harvest enough deer. I see this as just another tool that could get more people in the field during different seasons. Out west where they have few issues meeting management objectives, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me during the archery seasons.
