I would really like to know how far it went from where it was shot and how close did he come to finding it. If you hunt long enough you probably have a similar wounded animal that haunts your dreams.
Really awesome story!

that was pretty awesome . the finder had every right in the world to keep it for themselves or try to sell it. kudos to them.

on a similar note …. my brother hunted a ranch in Wyoming several years ago . a friend of his had hunted this same property the year priar and wounded a big bull in archery and never recovered it.

anyway he tells my brother about this property and the it's potential for 350 plus bulls . so, the next year my brother pays the trespass fee and hunts there and he ends up killing a 350ish bull . while gutting , he encounters a mass in the chest cavity up against the bulls spine . on closer inspection ,it turns out to be half an arrow with a broadhead attached .when he went home and told the story to his friend they cleaned up the arrow and it turns out it was the arrow his friend shot the previous year .

my brother said when he shot the bull a year later , you couldn't even tell anything was wrong with that bull. it had healed up and he was thriving with that arrow inside of him.

bulls are tough!
