I was hoping someone could suggest a factory load for .300 WSM for both black bear and antelope. I will be hunting Mt bear last week of September and WY antelope first week of October. Was looking for one round that would be good for both. Thank you guys for your help in advance.

Accubond bullets are hard to beat. We've killed sheep, elk and antelope with them in my 300 WSM (hand loads).
Before I started hand loading I really liked Federal Premium ammo. I would think Nosler ammo would be good stuff too though I have no experience with it.

I shoot the Federals 180 gr. Knocks em dead so far. Blows a nice hole in a hog thats for sure. Would like to hand load eventually tho.

I'm not sure they make a load for that caliber that wouldn't humanely take a bear or an antelope. Find any decent controlled expansion bullet that shoots good in your rifle and you will be fine. I'm a hornady fan and I trust their factory loads above all others. My favorite bullet for all game is the interbond. It is a great bullet for anything in north America in my opinion. Hilltop, you wouldn't happen to know where a guy can find some .30 cal 180 gr. interbonds? They're my favorite as well. Even just a box of 50?? Cant seem to find them anywhere! Called Hornady and they wont give a straight answer as to when they'll be back into production.
Tried the swift scirrocos and the accubonds, cant get them to fly nice for me. Barnes aren't too bad but the interbonds just work so awesome and I've only got 12 rounds left! Bummer!

I would agree with the accubonds for factory loads... not so sure on the 180 though... pretty big for those critters. Maybe a consideration of a step or 2 down in grains... but the bullet rocks.

I also shot Federal Premium Accubonds in 180 gr. Liked the so much I bought 6 boxes when a local sporting goods store went out of business.

I buy from a little pawn shop in Grand Island Nebraska. They will take a cc over the phone and ship directly to you. It is nick named "swedes" but I think it is just called GI loan and Pawn. They are located about 5 minutes from the Hornady Factory so they seem to have stuff when other don't. 308-382-9573 I believe is the number.
FYI- the 165 shoot great and are typically a little more available.

I think the bottom line is you need to try a few factory loads with premium bullets and see which shoots best from your rifle.
I took my bear this spring with my 300WSM. My rifle (model 70) loves the Federal Premium Trophy Copper(basically a TTSX) in 140grn, and it did a number on my bear which was about 300lbs, breaking the offside shoulder after passing through the lungs and heart.

Solid advice! All guns like different bullets. I had a 300 wm that hated partitions but loved accubonds. I have a 30.06 that loves Hornady 180 grain sst's, .75 MOA on a 25 year old Rem 700 BDL. The point is buy a box of 3 or 4 different premium ammo loads and see what your gun likes. Then buy 5 more boxes of the ammo your gun likes so if they discontinue them or there is another run on ammo then you will be set for a while.
