Okay....I think it's safe to divulge this information as it's too late this year for it to be helpful to anyone. Gertrude, who runs the hunt draw for NDOW, loves chocolate covered strawberries. She's single, never been married or had a serious relationship. A box of cholates and a kind note and you are good to go with a tag. Think I'm kidding....I've drawn a desert sheep, elk, three antelope and shot my biggest mule deer in Nevada all as a nonresident.
I must have spelled her name wrong on the dozen roses I sent to her a few years back. [emoji2369]

Well, she's not much for flowers either. ;)

P.S. White chocolate strawberries for the once in the lifetime type tags.
I?m so convinced someone?s got it out for me in the corporate NDOW office, I opted to pull my name from the party leader and slip in last on the group hunt application. Maybe they won?t see me and I?ll slip in. [emoji41]

Um...you probably just ticked Gertrude off since she saw through your bribe of flowers.

Actually I often use my wife as party leader when I want to draw.

If the party draws and I get rejected.. I?ll have to take a trip to Carson City and really spend some time on this relationship. Possibly seek counselor assistance to amend the issues. Im willing to change!

We have a term for that here locally, the whole racking up points in the wife?s name concept. Applying together and then returning her tag so you can do it over and over. NDOW has supposedly caught on as well and is restricting the amount of times someone can turn a tag back. Some people would use grandma or grandpa as there (rhymes with point SMORE) I was devastated when I heard of this tactic. 50% jealousy, 50% anger I didn?t think of it.

Oh she doesn't have much for points. She does draw just about everything she puts in for. When it's a year she really doesn't want to hunt and I want to put her in for long shots I tell her "you have 50 to 1 odds to draw" and she replies "so I will draw the tag".

She drew her Oregon sheep tag three years into it.

I was hoping to get my aunt and uncle to play this game with me as I am a non resident so we could apply for deer together but they think the resident prices are expensive and don't understand the game alas I cant

Ha ha i got a buddy that builds his wifes points for muleys. Hes going in this year with 5 points from her. I couldnt do it, my wife would apply without me if i showed up late from work the day the applications opened. Shes into huntin more then my huntin buddys are and would give me the gutless method if i tried to play games with her tags.
