I always wonder if the folks with so many points built up are just that unlucky or only put in for 1 or 2 choices? I can see it on sheep and maybe Bull tags but deer tags ? Not doubting just wondering about strategies.

Have a feeling typical draw odds in NV will be a bit shifted this year. I?m sure there are a few guys who buy points just waiting for a year like this year to pop off with precipitation.

Yep. I think many guys get a few points and think they have a shot at the premuim tags.
I think many of those guys are disappointed.

I look at Nevada as an opportunity state for deer. I just want a tag in nearly any unit. I've drawn 3 in 10 years and had great hunts. I am kind of expectimg a deer tag this year.

Any other species is just a bonus to me. I drew elk with 7 and pronghorn with 8 putting in for the "easiest" tags.
