My son's cousin randy Garcia of fairbanks had to be airlifted out by search and rescue like 3 or 4 days ago. Raft capsized on a boulder when they were coming out. Lost everything except the inreach that saved their lives. Wrights only charged them half price since they didn't need the pickup flight. Lol
Should be in the news somewhere.

Depending on where you are up there, I heard the midnite sun has started to dip below the horizon again; the northern lites were seen for the 1st time in awhile.

I'm from FL and that airboat is some serious stuff! Wishing you a safe trip - that's an awesome adventure.

No caribou! The river was at flood stage; so we left early because of the risk of injury and losing the airboat. I’ll write more when I get back to KC on the computer. The Wolf pack was a highlight of the trip.

3hrs to go from deadhorse to mile post 45.5. ~50miles

It rained the whole time, except a few hours. Many that work up there said they’ve never seen it rain that much. Helly Hansen guide jacket for the win, also really impressed Garmin inreach Mini.

Looks like a great trip other than the lack of caribou. That's what happened to me when I hunted the north side of the Brooks. Horrible weather the entire time.
But now you've got a reason to go back.

That was a great bugger joint and it was good meeting up again. Weather got me this time. Couldn’t even fish, gale force winds.

Kabob; I don't care how long I was out in the woods, I still wouldn't want to visit a Bugger Joint when I came out. It was still an adventure for you...keep on trying and the stars do eventually align.
