Got it done in Kansas this year! Didn't have a lot of time to hunt with the bow, but had a great opportunity on a mature deer. He came in at an angle I couldn't get a shot, got too close where I couldn't actually shoot him right under me], worked a scrape right under my stand, hung out for a bit, then walked out to 7 yards where it was actually hard to miss him. He ran 60-70 yards and tipped over in the corn field. Same tree I killed my buck from a couple years ago, only he was at 30 instead of 7. Was a pretty awesome deal for sure! He must have broken his knee at some point. His front right leg was a couple inches shorter than his left and the knee joint was the size of a softball and calcified as hard as a bone. He was limping really hard on it, but could still run good after the shot! Fattest buck I've ever killed for sure. He even has some marbling on some of the rump roast cuts and had a full inch of fat across the whole back quarter. Already eaten almost a whole back quarter! Several bigger deer on camera, but it's hard for a guy to pass up something coming together like this!

One of the pics you can see the arrow and the tree stand in the tree in the background. I really love his heavy horns, giant body, and palmation on his left side. Now time to get the euro mount done.

Great whitetail. I keep expecting to see you knock down one of those Kansas muleys sometime!

I keep getting sidetracked on the WT! I had a really good opportunity on a Muley, but just couldn't get it done. One of these days I'll have to just make the decision to chase muleys, but I'm too trigger happy by the time season rolls around.

I never did weigh him, but he was well over 200 live weight. I lift quite a bit and I'll just say that dead-lifting him into the back of the truck was a chore! My guess is that he was in the 230 range
