Tick tock tick tock as we patiently await the draw results. I hope we are all smiles when they are posted. This has been ten years in the making for my first elk hunt.
I can only hope.

Bad idea not to get your ears wet on a few OTC/low demand elk hunts before cashing so many points on a quality tag. I guess rifle won't be as bad. I primarily DIY archery hunt and it took me 4 or 5 hunts learning tricks and elk behavior before I got good.

I'm not going in blind. I will be going with an outfitter when and if I get drawn.

Am I correct that the deer draw isn't due until the end of May? Thought it was always mid March.......sitting on 4 wyo elk points. Buying my 5th this year. But a mule hunt will suffice for this year. All settled into my new career.....both kids will be in school next year.....so my free time should increase meaning I will finally be able to be more adventourous with my groups hunts. Been doing easier faster hunts the past few years, meaning no elk hunts, but hopefully that will be changing over the next few years. Good luck to everyone hoping for that elk tag!

Not complaining. End of May works better anyways. Just suprised because its been mid March for a long time. Oh well. Not I have to plan some back up hunts in case we don't draw.

Hoping today the elk results are posted.[emoji4]
I don't expect it to be for these two reasons. There is a backdoor and nothing has happened there yet. Also the day before posting Wyoming usually posts on their home page, on the scrolling news feed, the date and time the results will be posted.

But we can still HOPE is is today! :)

I think they are going to take a day after the draws to certify them so they're free from errors. They made too many errors last year so I bet that's why its taking so long.

Thanks UH. I knew you would be watching it close this year. I really don't have a chance but still interested! I agree they should be checking it severals times before posting after what happened last year.

There is no longer a backdoor for WY results.
The Auditors Office is holding the Refund Warrant report until after the dept posts the results, per dept request.
