Colorado's 1st deer/elk season opened Saturday. Who has filled their tag (s)?

I was able to fill the freezer w this bull opening morning.. Had some good friends thankfully help w the looong pack out.

I got the bull at just shy of 13k ft.. I joked w my buddy who helped pack it out that it would be close and took the shot right at 12,800’. 380 yd shot he rolled over 200 yds and broke parts of 4 points on the roll but he will still eat just the same! Not a giant bull but even 20 min into opening light I could not pass himhe is a 6x7 w a little kicker in the right.

Pack out was about 3500’ of elevation loss and due to giant half a mile scree fields (2) made up of 6’ boulders = was impossible to get stock to so had to come out on packs. 4 of us plus my friends daughter got it out. Length was right at 4.8 miles one way.
