    Antelope success thread

Filled my first ever antelope tag, and got the doe two days later. I was also hunting a 1/2 irrigated land tag and got some useful information from some people from Oregon that hunted the unit several times on a public road that accessed some BLM behind some private land I had overlooked. An...

    Wyoming Family Hunt

The hardest part about my doe tag was getting one on public ground within a half mile of irrigated land. Finally got it done on the 3rd evening. Congrats!

    BLM beware!!

I guess I'm surprised that this surprised you. I just got back as well, but did a lot of research prior and just because there are big chunks of land, doesn't mean there is always access. Have to do your homework for sure not only finding the public lands, but also public access. Just because...

    BOOM! successful draw!

The long and the short of it. Spent a day and a half scouting before the opener. Saw hundreds of goats each day. Opener covered a ton of ground, all public, and in 2.5 days never saw a goat that made you go “wow”! Talked with a bunch of other hunters and everyone is saying the same things...

    Unit 83 lodging advice

I have submitted my application with 8pp to Unit 83. I really want to hunt this year, and have been chasing unit 67, but with point creep, me getting an itch to go hunt, and being intrigued by 83 I decided to pull the trigger. My question is lodging. Been thinking about finding an Air BnB to...

Resident advice for nonresident with 8pp

So I have 8 preference points going into this application for antelope. For years I?ve been holding out for unit 67, but with point creep, I doubt I?d pull that tag this year which means another year of waiting. I?m getting the itch to go hunt a goat and was wondering about thought on cashing...

    Should I apply or wait?

Hi all. I've been banking points for a WYO goat for a while and now have 6pp built up. I'm pretty set on unit 67. I was going to apply this year, and hope to draw. I think I'll have a chance with 6pp if I'm reading the draw results right, or if I do the special draw, almost guaranteed. My...

    Wyoming sights

I am planning to visit a friend this summer in Powell WY, and I am thinking about driving out from eastern Nebraska. I hope to hopefully be hunting an elk out there in a few years but wanted your guys opinions, if you had to drive across wyoming, what are some things you would like to see along...

    That was quick!

Thanks EHJ for adding the additional area for other deer species!

Might want to include more species...

I think it is pretty pivotal that there is a whitetail (or just a general deer) section included on this forum. You cant deny that the white tail is probably the most popular big game animal in north america. eastmans would draw a larger crowd to the forums if they include a general deer forum...
