I'm against baiting. I have used trail cameras in the past and I really think the only advantage I have gained is by knowing what bucks or bulls are around certain areas. If anything, that knowledge has lead to me, and some of my friends, to pass on lesser animals that we may have shot if we...

I finally broke down and ordered a new Eberlestock pack. My cheap, 10 year old, pack took a beating this past season hauling meat. Affordable ammo and reloading supplies would be a dream lol. I think we get there by mid summer.

Nice cobia! The guys I used to fish with called them kingfish. Didn't catch many in the Northern Gulf but we loved it when we did. Great eating fish.

Good luck!

I have yet to have a bad one but one old cow a buddy shot was pretty tough. Her burger was amazing though. I like elk steak a little better but moose burger has the edge over elk burger for me.

I don't want to see any added restrictions and I believe many that are in place are wrong. I do have an issue with the way #24 was worded. I think many will answer yes to the questions but keep in mind that would be adding restrictions in places like Wyoming where no permit is required.

I have strongly considered a new one over the past year. I really like some of the new Hoyt models but they are more than I want to spend. I'll probably stick with my 13 year old bow that still seems to get the job done if I do my part.

I think it would depend on the area. I have been within archery range of legal rams many times while hunting other species in southern Wyoming. That is fairly easy terrain so a guy could make multiple stalks a day if you can find the rams. If I drew a tag there, I would try very hard with the...

I prefer to hunt with friends and family. If you are with the right people, it really enhances the experience imo... and the animals come off the mountain a lot faster when spread between many packs.

We took quite a few elk with those back in the late 80s and early 90s. We probably would still be shooting them if we didn't get into long range shooting.

I haven't hunted with them but am pretty familiar with the operation and area 7. They put people on nice bulls and have very little negative feedback out there. You will see a pile of elk and should all shoot a good bull.

I shoot factory 165 grain Hornady Interbonds our of my 30-06. I have taken numerous elk with this load with the furthest being 477 yards- the bull in my avatar. I am not a fan of the solids but they will kill an elk.

Anyone on here hunt elk in the Walden area? I have a few questions I would like to run by someone in the know if anyone is willing.

Quite a few people were involved. My best friends dad gets most of the credit but there were several adults who took the time to take me as I was growing up. I have done my best to repay the favor by taking different kids and rookies hunting when I get the chance. To date, I have had over a...

October 21st, 1989 at about 5:15pm. Age 14. Been hooked ever since. I don't believe a picture was ever taken.

Any feedback from anyone at Eastman's? It just doesn't seem like them to throw inaccurate stuff out there just to get clicks.

I did some quick shopping yesterday for some of the ammo I shoot. It wasn't priced great but I could find most of my standard stuff from reputable suppliers. I am sitting ok right now so I am waiting to buy anything.

I see you traded in for the newer model dishwasher as well 😁..

Someone will get lucky... may as well be you!

Type 6 cow tag applicant here. Shot a bull last year so will be a couple years.
