I don't believe Wyoming offers a map for the public like you are requesting. I have seen regional maps showing populations but nothing that specifically shows where those herd exist in the regions. I think the closest you will find are the hunting forecasts published yearly by region.
I personally think moose are easy to approach compared to elk and deer. Nice thing about Wyoming is you can try with the bow and then come back during rifle if needed. Your archery elk setup should be fine on a moose. I would recommend hunting early season at high elevations. That first week...

On a serious note- I like short names for hunting dogs. Much easier when in the field imo. Beau, Sam, and my current lab, Gus, are my favorites.
Trophy hunting to me simply means selective harvest. The hunter is seeking something beyond the average animal. What that something is can be defined differently by each hunter.
I know some guys that prefer to hang their quarters, with hide on, by the leg. I does keep the main muscle groups a bit cleaner and prevents some drying out. I personally don't like to pack any bone other than the skull, but to each their own.
That a good question - guessing you will be able to modify to the new tags as long as they are same/same- if that change goes through. Remember, these are just recommendations that haven't been approved yet. Guessing most or all changes will though. As far as the reduction in years, I...
Antelope just got a lot harder to draw for many people. There are some decent elk increases though in some areas. Wish those numbers came out before we had to apply as a non-resident. Interesting tag in area 7 for meat hunters among others- 4 point or less bull tag added with 350 permits...
1- Draw odds/points required for multiple years
2- Animal population
3- % accessible public
4- # of other hunters/permits to determine pressure
I could care less what is published for success rates because most of that is inaccurate for western states imo.
I actually like it- I have called quite a few toms in during 20+MPH winds. I find they come in much easier IF you can get close enough for them to hear.
It isn't what it once was but it can still be a fun hunt where a guy has a chance at a nice buck. Is it worth 7 points? Not to me but I'm not sure there are many mule deer hunts worth the number of points required these days.
I personally think they a fairly easy to hunt with a bow, even on public land. I could have shot a dozen different bulls in a week last fall while archery hunting elk on National Forest. I would put the percentages at 75% archery 99% rifle in any area with decent moose density and a week to...
In my life I have never seen an organized group promote more racism than the democrats have over the past year. Our country is headed down a really rough road because of opinions like this.
Kind of odd there aren't a ton of pics and stories out there yet. Guessing that will change soon- the hunting industry will be after him now to get the rights to the story.
I would look at area 6 in Wyoming. Pretty cheap cow elk hunts and guaranteed draw in recent years. It's a mainly private area so not much competition for the tags. You might take a look at Bar-Nunn. They aren't the cheapest but JT is a good guy. You would also have decent odds of drawing in...
Montana will remain a great destination. Most of these crazy bills being introduced will fail miserably. Who knows what the future will bring but the reality is right now much of the west is non-resident friendly with their rules. Should take advantage while we can.
The two shotgun method is common in my area when jump shooting geese. I am not aware of any laws against the practice and have also seen several people checked with no issues.
