Wingmen's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 - Just in time for early season!

Looks like a blast! I'm ready for early teal to open here in Nebraska. We don't have much water but I'm guessing we scratch out a few limits.

    Guided Day Trip

Look at drop camp hunts. That will be the closest thing to what you are looking for. Typically they set up camp and offer you some pointers for the area they set you up in. True guided hunts are set up for a specific number of days- typically 5 or 7 days but I have seen a few 4 day hunts...

    Closest Kill

Whitetail doe at 2 yards out of a ground blind opening day. I shot 2 does that day and she was the second. My closest animal I wanted to shoot but couldn't? Bull elk at 4 yards. He was on the other side of a small pine. Frustrating to say the least. I didn't get my first archery elk for...

    Where is everyone?

Had a bad one in the elk area I hunt about a year ago. Acres and acres of timber down- it is physically impossible to get through the areas. That was at 10k in elevation.

    Where is everyone?

Wyoming and Colorado get plenty of tornadoes.

    161 Colorado moose

Hunt as high as you can in early September. If you get some weather, the cows will move down fairly quickly. I have seen quite a few near the Wyoming border in the western part of your area. If I had the tag, I would start in the upper end of Damfino Creek where it crosses the border or...

    CORNERSTONE GUN DOG TRAINING ACADEMY

Honestly mine is too. We have had to cut his food back as he was gaining weight pretty fast. Working a lab in 100 degree weather just isn't safe unless it's in the water. We do that when we can. Looking forward to cooler weather so we can get him back into bird shape.

    2021 Fishing

Yes, that's the official name used in the regulations here. They fight like no other fresh water fish. 2nd best is it small mouth but they don't make long runs like the wiper.

    2021 Fishing

Thanks! We do the trip annually on the first weekend in August. We have been going for 8 years and this was honestly our worst year. We typically catch 400+. This year we ended up with about 250- just over 80lbs in fillets. All fishing from shore, no guide, and using all artificial. Great...

Had a great weekend with family chasing white bass, walleye, smallmouth, and wiper. Fish supply for the winter is good.

I would like to think this is a bit of natural selection and population control... at least that's the only way I can make sense of it.

Preferred cartridge? Grip and grin pic added

Literally any big game caliber shooting any legal bullet will be fine. I prefer to shoot them with bonded, controlled expansion bullets to keep meat loss to a minimum. My last several were with a 30-06 and 165 grain Hornady interbond. Almost no meat loss with a behind the shoulder shot.
