I need to go one of these times.

I've done it a few times. I had lots of blown stalks, but was successful. It can be frustrating at times! Also lots of cactus to dig out of the knees.

Like stated go to your local archery shop and shoot the bows. You'll know which one after you shoot it.

I'm still pretty hardcore when it comes to hunting at almost 61. It's all I think almost everyday. I really like to back pack and stay 4-5 days in an area far away from any trail head. I soak in the whole process when preparing for hunting and enjoy it. I like to fill my tags, but I'm...

Looking good!

Great bear congrats! Thanks for posting.

That temperature is pretty hot! love the picture.

Welcome a lot of great folks on this site.

I'm a resident and used a guide on two occasions. One was for mountain lion and the other sheep. When I hunted with Josh Martoglio he stated about 80% of his guided sheep hunters were residents. Most of them know this is most likely once in a lifetime hunt since it takes them many years to...

As a resident I didn't draw an antelope tag again. Also no cow&calf tag. I did draw a whitetail deer tag. Congrats to all that drew!

Today is the day! Good luck everyone!

Yeah it's a hot one in Cheyenne today.

I shoot an Easton 340 carbon axis. My total weight with everything is 435grains. This out of a 65lb bow. I've taken lots of elk and other animals with this set-up. I recommend 400 grains or more for elk. My draw length is only 27.

I use the AAE Max Fletch and there pretty quiet. Watching various videos the sound of the bow will get to the target faster than the fletching. Thanks for posting the video.

That's a great bear congrats to her! Since it was MT is was most likely spot and stalk since they don't allow baiting.

There definitely moving to find more food sources. Overpopulation is also making them expand thier home ranges. The states that have them need a hunting season to control them.

The nonresident elk draw results should be available tomorrow. It's usually at 10:00am mountain time. Good luck everyone! https://wgfd.wyo.gov

Congrats on an awesome looking ram!

Yep, I got the Moderna and so did the wife.

Good luck and post pictures and the story.
