Fyi -The 529 in my state can be transferred to grandchildren and other relatives. College or trade school was not a choice for our kids. And yeah; they could have ultimately decided not to go as its their choice but we have always made education a top priority.

I did 529 plans for all 3 of my kids. Was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When my oldest son died, I was able to distribute his funds to my youngest son and daughter easily. When I divorced the money was protected from my ex-wife who probably would have pissed it away. Rate of...

I'm just glad there are options. All the mom and pop places closed years ago. And stuff at bass pro/cabelas may be going downhill but still better than walmart.

In my state bow hunting is closed during the firearm season. And most hunters here hunt from treestands. Most of our hunting accidents occur during the spring turkey season. Everyone in camo and calling can increase the risk of an incidents.

Yeah, sitting in a stand all day is too much for me. I like to still hunt between deer stands at midday. Breaks up the day nicely and have shot a few nice bucks doing that.

those sure are some sexy knives. Would make great Christmas gifts.

I reached out to all my buddies nobody did any good during the IL firearm season. I shot a smaller 9 pointer I had passed up during the archery season. My sister jumped him up and he ended up running by me so I shot him on the run. Thought he was bigger.

Some pics of the deer on the walls at the cabin.

I just got from 8 days at the cabin. The first 4 days had highs around 65 and the last 4 days had 40mph winds. Pretty rough bowhunting and never saw a buck big enough to shoot. I did however kill a few projects while up there. I installed a countertop and backsplash in the kitchen. And...

My sister shot this small buck this morning.

My neighbor was at his place all last week and said the rut was crazy. That was when the temps were in the twenties at night. Its 64 degrees now and action is slow. I saw a sick doe with a fawn this morning. Can see her ribs and pelvic bones. We had some EHD here this year so wondering if...

Your timing Your timing will be perfect. The chasing phase of the rut was in high gear last week when we had cooler weather. Daytime activity has stopped since the warm front has came thru. Highs in the upper sixties and lows around 50. I passed up a nice 8pt sunday morning and he has been...

Damn. That dude has a huge body and rack to match! Congrats.

If you go that route i recommend getting one tall enough to hang sausage and salami. The 30 inch models are not big enough.

Lol. And enjoying them from a deer stand here in illinois!! And i know, i wont see many deer if im staring at my phone. Weather is not cooperating and things are really slow.

I really enjoy these pic posts since i can only travel out west infrequently.
