early review Eberlestock F1 Mainframe and F2 Transformer

I had to get permission to post this as it was a tester, and I will see if I can find one of the smaller versions. The pack bag I am using on this trip is 7,000 cui approximately and Brandon’s was 5k approximately. There are a few more updates coming, this will be called the Vapor Series.

    Who else is...

Squated heavy for the first time in about two months this morning. It is really weird to have over a month between the start of elk season and when my buck hit the dirt. Good thing I have a local antelope hunt to help my Dad out with and a couple of other fun hunts.

Have you guys tried the taller version of the Mainframe? Bigger guy here and I really like the shoulder lift that I get from it.

    Portable shooting benches

I have done all sorts of things...one that worked fairly well was ratchet strapping a small portable table down to the truck bed. Sand bags were already in the back and those worked well against the legs. Put the shooting bags on top and it was golden. The only time this didn't work was when the...

Wild - Grizzly Kills a Bull Elk

Crazy video, this bull had a really bad day, looks like he lost a fight, broke his leg, then up and gets munched on by a grizzly bear...

    Range Finding Binos?

I have worked with the range finding binos and used the old set up with a range finder and binos. I prefer the range finding binos set up.

    base layer

Here is my take, take it for what it is worth... First Lite has made great Merino products for a very long time and as long as they keep that going it will be the same quality. If the fit they provide is worth it and you got that many years of use...hard to change. Sitka has really done a good...

    Who else is...

Nah, it's the other way around. Watching your consistency is beyond admirable, you have made this thread what it is and I am sure that more than a few people have looked at this and been encouraged watching you put in the time and effort you have.

    Mule Deer Assistance

I am going to throw this out there on the 200" inch chasing.... 200" mule deer are INCREDIBLY hard to find. Even on the winter range finding legitimate holy grail bucks is the challenge of a lifetime. They are truly the top 2-5% of bucks on the mountain and they are that big for a reason, they...

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

I can't remember if I have replied to this thread...so...here it goes. I am a simple man, my .300 Win Mag loves the 200 grain ELD-X Precision Hunter rounds. Big bucks can be tough and where I hunt them I want him to be planted firmly into the mountain. The bucks I am hunting this year are in...
