Welcome to the forum Three Dogs. Best of luck to your son as he begins his military career. For a short period of time I stayed in in the La Grande area along time ago. Never did any hunting during my time there just some fishing, very beautiful country out there.

Not sure what is going on in my home state with poachers, but it seems there is a major poaching case about every month or so. In this one a really really nice buck and a another buck were both poached and left too waste. This occurred in some fields near a commercial warehouse area. So this...

Wow when I saw this thread title I thought it was going to be somebody starting a fire when target shooting with a firearm. Pretty surprised it was with a bow. I guess with the dry conditions anything is possible. Glad the fire didn't turn into a much bigger problem.
