You know it's almost Fall when you get up in the it's 46 degrees and you have to put on sweat pants for the first time in months! In 3 more weeks I'll be in Wyoming filling my Deer and Antelope tags.

It is really a collectors piece. Value (depending on condition) is from $1,500 to $2,000 for a basic model. My suggestion would be to keep it as a family heirloom and don't shoot it much. Just sayin.................

Both pictures were taken in 1954 on a backcountry horseback packin deer hunting trip. I was 13. My Dad took me out of school and we went on my first real hunting adventure. He gave me a great foundation to build on.

When this thread I started came back up, I realized I hadn't posted picts from our trip. My wife Joyce pointing to her #50 Halibut and our Razor Clams. Great time....lots of great eating too. We brought home #50 pounds of halibut and razor clams.The King Salmon was about #40.

September 1 always kicked off my families hunting season. Dad & I started with Doves, next was Deer hunting in the High Sierras, Antelope in Wyoming, Elk in Colorado and Ducks & Geese until the end of January. Last hunted with Dad in 2008 when he was 90 and he got his elk here in Colorado. miss...

My first time hunting antelope many, many years ago, I put a small bunch of them to bed one evening, deciding to go back at first light the next morning. I got to the area while it was still dark and started walking to where I last saw them bedded down. Still dark and I walked right into them...

It means metallic cartridge cases. They also make shotgun reloading stuff too, hence the "metallic".
