What Do You Consider Long Range?

At least it was a 4" group! lol Precision was there, accuracy, not so much. Long rang shooting requires both for animals.

What Do You Consider Long Range?

My dad always holds out his hands and says "it had an 18" spread" (meanwhile his hands are 36" apart. lol)

What Do You Consider Long Range?

I think we are already seeing adverse effects on the herds nationwide due to the technology we currently have. Having said that, I honestly am happier to see guys being more successful using rangefinders and dials than before when they were guessing and wounding animals only to go after another...

What Do You Consider Long Range?

Anything past 500 is too far to shoot at a big game animal for 90% of people in my opinion. Unfortunately, Greed, idiots with TV shows, gun manufactures, YouTube hunting heroes, and the Internet in General have tarnished hunting by pushing the long rang game. There are some people who prefer...

    Grouse

I remember when Walmart had those NEF single shots on sale for $75/each. I should have bought the complete set. But I was too young to buy guns then. I begged my dad for them and he wouldn't get them for me.

    Bull Breeding Call - Identification

This year when my bull was charging in looking for his last cow he was making a noise I had never heard before while hunting elk. I thought I had heard them all, but this was a new one to me for sure. When he was coming in he was making a noise similar to a cow. I assume it was some kind of...

    The Jogger and the Cat

"Your a good little kitty cat" "I'm big and scary" If I am not mistaken I believe that is a kitten on the road at 15 seconds into the video. That would have been a great time to go the other direction but these you-tube derelicts insist on messing with mother nature.

    My Archery Hitlist (whitetail)

Sad as it is to say, I actually checked my cameras for the first time in a month here in GA and I also have not knocked an arrow yet. Muzzleloader season opens tomorrow (100% rain for the next 2 days) and I am moving my in-laws into their new house and I am putting the finishing touches on my...

    Wait Times...

Archery 100% gut shot- 18-24 hours 100% liver- 8 hours 100% Lungs- grab your gear and get to tracking. Anything unsure track and see what things look like for 75 yards. Then back out if necessary. This year I got 1 lung/liver. That bull was dead in 2 minutes. I insisted that we wait 2 hours...

What Is Your Go To Hunting Knife?

Some kind of gerber set and a havalon about 3" long. I dont care for the gut hook. Its a bit dangerous. But the case sharpener is on point...I sharpen my knives every few minutes. That havalon is pretty sweet. Not going to lie. It will make short work of things. RAZOR sharp.
