    Vanes

I’ve been doing some more research and feathers seem to be the loudest. A parabolic design seems to be the quietest. Something else I keep coming across, is the stiffer the vane the more quiet it will be.

Depends on the muzzle brake, it’ll have to have threads for the can. If you get a can with HUB threads, there are a lot of brake choices.

    Vanes

Been trying to get my archery hunting/shooting going again. Whats some good quiet vanes? I came across an article years ago with a bunch of different vanes that were tested, but can’t seem to find it.

Usually they will be better, but not always. There is no way to know until you shoot. For attaching the can to the rifle, I always use a muzzle brake or flash suppressor and than attach the can to that. This way the muzzle device takes the brunt of the gasses and acts like a first baffle, this...

Even if you got the 30 cal can, you would’ve been buying more anyways. It’s a very fun rabbit hole to go down. 😁😁

It will probably do better on the 10/22 vs a pistol from my experiences. It seems the shorter cans do better with a longer barrels because the barrel helps hold the gas longer. Definitely give it a try. I’ve heard from a few people about that 22 can not being the best.

    Lightweight Boots

I’m a Crispi fan myself. Watch camofire and you can some times get good deals on Crispi, Kenetrek, Zamberlain, and some other European boot manufacturers. If you’re doing any heavy packing or hunting rough country, don’t be cheap in boots.

    Danner's Pronghorn Boots

When I wore them, they would only last a season. Some of them would leak. They are not a bad boot, but if you are hunting hard, I would have a hard time recommending them.
