I lived in many places around the world before I decided to live in Colorado, partly because I wanted to hunt here. So yes, as a resident I have a right to want more of the tags set aside for the folks who live here. I moved here so I could hunt here and have something to say about how CPW does...

Greedy? That's an odd statement since Colorado is by far more generous with nonresident tags than any other western state. And as for 75/25 being "greedy" ... you may be wishing for that once all the westeren states get done shifting to 90/10.

^^ One non-resident called in, and he actually said that he thought non-residents were getting too many tags compared to residence, which seem very odd. Many of the residents weren’t complaining about the actual number of tags (some were), but rather how Colorado seems to favor nonresidents...

As I mentioned in my notes, the Commission is considering 75-25 but just for the primary draw, which actually takes some tags away from residents since that will eliminate the 80/20 split they recently approved for “high demand” tags … which hasn’t even gone into effect yet. When it came time...

Well, I listened to the entire Commissioner’s meeting for two days and didn’t witness what you’re describing. The Commissioners understand the issues and they seem genuinely interested in trying to solve them. I don’t always like what the Commissioners do but I liked what I heard during this...

Yeah, they talked about that a little bit also. It didn’t sound like a totally random draw would ever be approved by the Commissioners.

They discussed it but won’t do it because it would wipe out all the points some people have saved up over years … or decades.

That’s exactly what the recommended choice (4A) is on how to use preferences points. All Primary Choices (All 4 choices) would use points. Not just the 1st choice like it is now. The 50/50 split is another recommendation on how to conduct the draw. They are both recommended.
