    Berry Bullets - pistol loading

I shoot in a weekly Bulls Eye Pistol League. My centerfire is a S & W Target Masterpiece in .38 special. I reload all my own loads. I normally use Speer Bullets, but havn't been able to get any recently. Some of our shooters use Berry Bullets (a copper coated lead bullet ((not jacketed)). I use...

    2022 hunts!

I've got 11 points for Colorado elk and I have to decide what I am going to do with them. I just turned 80, so I'll need to use them in the next few years. Trying to put together a Wyoming antelope hunt. No deer this year as I used all my points last fall. I have e few points for Colorado...

    California bear hunting

The High Sierras have a pretty good population of bears. I have killed several while deer hunting. Check the California regs for seasons. There is also a huntable population in the Kernville/Lake Isabella area.

Yep. it is what the decapping pin is in. I do exactly as Jim does.

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

You probably are on the high side as far as pressure goes. Watch your brass for length and splitting near the rim.

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

Usually when a bolt is stiff opening, it's because you are loading a little hot. Your chamber could be at minimum dimensions and along with a hot load cause that situation. What do your primers look like after shooting? If they are flattened or cratered around the firing pin strike, then you are...

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

I don't full length size on any brass that has been shot in the rifle I'm loading for. I neck size only as the previously fired case has already been properly sized for that particular rifle by it's chamber. I do check case length and if I have to trim, I do inside/outside chamfer the case...

    Early Secret Santa Gift

I also have a Red Label in 20 ga. I would use the full & modified for Pheasants (Mod first & full second) and the Mod & Imp Mod for Quail (Imp Mod first & mod second). I am assuming it is also chambered for 3". When I use mine for Peasants I use 3" 6 shot and it really does a great job.

    missing tenderloins

Sorry about that, I only have deer tenderloins. All joking aside, that is a pretty sad situation not being able to trust the outfitter and his employees.

    Colorado Unit 81

Unit 81 is a pretty decent public land antelope hunt. I was turned on to it by another Forum member about 10 years ago. Limited tags and lots of points needed to draw it (around 15) will keep it the way it is currently for the future as long as CPW doesn't screw with it. I know the game warden...

    Wilderness horse back hunt

A little about the last hunt I did in Thorofare. Hunters stayed in nice wall tents, 2 to a tent (hunting partners with one guide). Tents had a nice wood burning stove that the Campjack started every morning at 4:30. Breakfast at 5:00. Sack lunches ready also. Leave camp around 5:30 on horseback...
