    What is everyone up to?

Got my Rhino running and got our driveway/road to the county road plowed. Really nice day and warming up next week. The only downside will be that the snow will melt and we get the result....mud!

    What is everyone up to?

Winter is indoor Bullseye Shooting league for me. I run the league and we shoot 2 days a week until the end of March. Getting ready for spring, working on irrigation system, went to the first NASCAR race of the year 2 weeks ago and doing a little maintenance on my side by side.

If I had one....it wouldn't be for sale. One of my hunting buddies passed away a few years ago, he had one that was a tack driver. I tried to buy it from his son....not for sale he said.

If there are no season, bag limits or other restrictions (other than a hunting or small game license), why would it be "poaching"?

The .264 Win Mag is a perfect example of why someone who owns one and is considering an upgrade to the newer 6.5 being offered today should consider reloading for it if they don't already do it.. The .264 was developed over 50 years ago with powders and bullets common to that era. Todays...

Utah: Ethics Course Required For Shed Hunting

My problem is that the commercial shed hunters are really cleaning up .....financially and literally the sheds. I don't usually go shed hunting for them specifically. I usually find sheds when I am doing something else, like spring turkey hunting, hiking and scouting in the summer and hunting in...

    Most memorable hunt…

Like lots of you have mentioned, too many hunts that were all fun. But one does have memories that still make my hall of fame. My family (Grandfather, Dad , Uncle & Cousins) all hunt. My Grandfather started to hunt deer in the High Sierras of California in the 1920's. Over the years my Dad &...

Wolves Placed Back on Endangered List

Why do you think the Defenders of Wildlife filed suit in California. The 9th Circuit Federal Court is one of the most liberal federal courts in the nation.

    Poached Jerky For Sale!

My only issue is with his 5 year ban from hunting or trapping. It should be for life.

It's all about money. We used to collect sheds for the intrinsic value, now it's big business.

Got my Colorado Outdoors today in the mail. It is the annual preference points issue. All the species, units and points needed to draw last year all in one spot.

    Wyoming Antelope 73 or 32

Thanks for the link. I checked the unit I usually hunt for antelope and no type 6 tags again this year.

    Wyoming Antelope 73 or 32

Hilltop is spot on. In the last couple of years there has been lots of change in some of the units. One I like to hunt had all the type 6 doe/fawn tags tags cancelled after they said there would some for the drawing. I had noticed for several years the amount of antelope had started to decline.

    Ruger No 1 .300 Weatherby

Got the scope back from Leupold and remounted it, bore sighted and off to the range, probably next Monday. Get it sighted in and then I'll install the new ballistic turret Leupold made. Then I'll get to work at 200 yards and out to 500. I'll be taking my chronograph to see what these loads are...
