    Gun Confiscation!

I am an Endowment Life Member of the NRA (have been for over 60 years). I believe they are the only ones with enough clout to really influence elected officials......but I do believe that they have gotten off message. I donate to their non political, nonprofit programs for education, assisting...

    Does it makes sense anymore?

I was lucky, when I was working I got 4 weeks paid vacation per year and some comp time because I didn't get much compensation for overtime.

    Does it makes sense anymore?

I agree for sure. I have been retired 23 years and am 80 years old now. I have hunted almost all my life. Bagged my first deer when I was 12. I was born and raised in California and my wife and I knew we were leaving when I retired. We spent 20 years looking in the western states for our...

    Does it makes sense anymore?

If you are willing to hunt more to fill the freezer than bring home horns, then you can actually hunt almost every year. I do apply for does when I know it will be almost impossible to draw the buck or bull tag I want. I also am satisfied with different species. I will settle for a doe antelope...

    Yoga

I have been thinking about it too. I AM 80 and notice that I am not as flexible as I'd like to be. I do lots of stretching and walking. I do have some back issues that will probably need surgery. Guess I'll do a little research and see if it fits for me.

How much wildgame do you actually eat?

There are just my wife and I and occasionally our son stays for up to a month, taking time off from his trucking business. We eat everything I get. Deer, elk antelope, upland game and fish. We usually can eat a mule deer and an antelope every year. If I get an elk, it takes a little longer and...

WGFD license proposals 2022, big cuts to Antelope.

Like I stated in a previous post. In the units I hunt, I have noticed a big population drop, especially in does. The last hunt, 2 years ago, I actually think we saw as many bucks as does and hardly any fawns and yearlings. I will not be applying for a couple of years for sure.

    Eastman's New Masthead

A few months back, Eastman's asked everyone to submit pictures for possible inclusion in a new masthead for this Forum. Lots of great pictures were posted. The new masthead sure doesn't include any of them. What happened and why?

Eastman's Hunting Journal - Annual Sheep Issue

I received my Annual Sheep Issue a couple of days ago and just finished reading the First story "Sweet 16". I had to read it several times to really understand what the story was actually saying. I am a bit upset by what happened, the father actually attempting to kill his daughters ram after he...

    really good venison recipe

I have some loin left from my buck last fall. I think I'll try this. I have been trying some different stuff and the recent batch of green chili with venison was great.

    Burger, breakfast sausage & brats.

Just finished grinding, stuffing and adding spices to my venison meat. Ended up with 25# breakfast sausage, 15# brats and 40# burger. A couple of months ago I bought 20# of bacon ends & pieces, used it for the fat in everything. It is going to be great. That along with steak stew meat and jerky...

    Fresh Water Ponds

The main reason I am going to use them is that they are pretty easy to raise, they tolerate large fluctuations in water temperature and quality and they multiply fast. They will provide forage for the Bass and Bluegill and probably eat some mosquito wigglers too. Just really wanting to know if...
