    Leupold CDS suggestions

On Leupold making dials for scopes, even with VXIII's if it didn't come from the factory with one you need to have it retrofitted for a CDS dial. The cost a couple years ago was $80 I believe and then you had to pay for the dial. I had a VXIII 4.5-14x40 that I asked about and found out the...

    Picked up some land

I pick up some land every time that I go hiking in the cleats of my boots. I do have to say however that yours is a lot nicer looking than what I end up with.

    Just curious!!

Some states will do it for a fee. The last set of Arizona regulations that I got that was cost more than it should of for something that you can pick up locally for free.

    Just curious!!

It would be nice to have paper copies to thumb through or have in the truck to quickly check something. I feel that they are a lot more user friendly trying to find something than the downloaded one on a computer. I won't download one onto my phone just because of the amount of space that it...

    Magazine restrictions?

From what I have heard a few years they need at least 30 or so. Makes me wonder what I am doing wrong with my single shots.

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

I had chronograph the speed of the factory Weatherby ammo so I had a pretty good starting spot. I tried IMR 4831 but I couldn't get the speed without pressure signs. So I tried some RL22, that was the magic load. But with RL22 being a little bit temperature sensitive I did all my load testing...

    Deer 2021

Between the two seasons I would always pick the later one. You have more of a chance to actually find a better buck as they are moving down. I know that last year 2nd season out in unit 21 was a bust for a lot. The deer had just started to move into in and down lower. I never did hear...

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

That's where people need to play around with loads, to find what works best. When I was first sighting in my, 340 I had some factory Weatherby Barnes 225 X bullets and after the first 5 shots with them I looked at the target and thought that I had a couple of fliers but it was still a tight...

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

It really doesn't take much to take down a mule deer. The skin is thin and while the shoulder bone is heavy just about any bullet made will punch through it. I personally like controlled expansion bullets as you can see from the above post.

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

I keep it easy with whatever I am shooting. One bullet one load. .25-06 a 100 grain Barnes TTSX 7 mm Rem Mag 140 grain Barnes TTSX .340 Weatherby 225 grain Barnes TTSX All those bullets have killed both elk and deer except for the .25-06 and I have only used it on deer.
