Always slow cooked crock pot my rabbits. In Chicken broth as described above. Then we pulled the meat and used it in place of chicken. (wraps, stews, soups, pies ect ect) Make sure you keep the hair off that meat. Nothing grosser than rabbit fur in your meat. lol

The real shame is that you folks have to make the decision on a personal level (to buy tags and not use them) because the game and fish over issued doe tags for the last several years on a struggling herd of animals. If it makes you feel better I have seen this in many states. We pay a kings...

Congrats on the bird. I got lucky years ago and found several boxes of 3.5" Winchester HV #5's on sale for $5/box at Walmart. I should be good to go for the foreseeable future. lol
