My thoughts are.... hunting is very social distancing.... a father/son etc... family living in the same home.... no problem, camping etc... with social distancing... I think one evolution of this virus may be....until there is a vaccine, eventually the country may open up more so to those...

.340wby 225-250gr .300wsm 150-165gr, more of a lighter magnum setup than the .340 thinking a .280ai, or 284 rpm,or 7mm-6.5prc could be a nice lightweight setup, not too lightweight though.

Wouldn't the 300prc and 375 Ruger be even better if they were magnum length vs standard? I realize they came out to fit into standard length actions... I just think they would fill a nice niche between say the 375H&H and 375 RUM or 300win.mag, and 300 RUM they'd give you increased...

I forget if NV squares bonus points in the draw? I kind of like this system.... because it weights them more for more points, but still gives the hunter with 1 point a chance.

I forget where I saw or read it, but wind in your current location influences bullet deflection much more than down range... not that it doesn't matter.... but it makes sense to me in the way that say you're shooting 500yds....a 20mph wind here....these numbers aren't accurate but say it pushes...

I don't know how each state operates, but I had the thought, that poachers should lose all their bonus points if caught. Not sure how many poachers have built up a bunch of points, but could be a good deterrent. What do you think?

I also press the Velcro together after closing it up... I know it kinda sticks on its own but I just give it a quick thumb press along the sides, if you don't do that, I'd give it a try.

when I began applying non-res could build points... I think for most species I now have 14 in NV but only 2 for rocky bighorns there, just saying I could have 14 if they let you apply by now... just seems like NV would let you gain points and generate $$ from them.

not sure, but the one I have has the velcro sides and works great, no problems, never flaps in the wind...

I'm surprised NV won't let non-res, at least buy and build points for Mountain Goat and Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, even when they're closed in off years?? I mean we have to front the $160 license we should be able to keep building points IMO. for even off species. Not to mention the state...

these states need a NR only unit.... lol. or a certain unit where every tag issued is at the NR price! sure residents can hunt it....lol. imagine that, 10% hunting pressure, trophies everywhere. I dunno if it'll ever happen but I could see 1 price tags in the future.... supply and demand...

my 300win.mag. was braked and I swear it kicked more than my .340wby without a brake! I doubt I'll own another hunting rifle with a brake....

What units do they hunt? Private land vs public? draw tags vs Landowner? I'd like to hunt CO antelope in the future... seems like much of the good goat country is on private land or long draw odds? thanks for any insight!

22-24" max! 23" would be perfect! I don't have the chart in front of me, but basically... a 243win with a 22" barrel has more powder/barrel volume than a 338win mag with a 24" barrel. possibly even 22".
