I do the same thing. If on the hamster wheel, I'll watch hunting shows (mostly diy guys on youtube). I also pull up some race running video and run 'with the camera person'. It's kinda cool.

Tough to beat First Lite and they are generally 20% cheaper than the other quality brands.

I've never been in the situation to slide it out to make a difference. I try to avoid looking toward the sun's general direction. But it's built in so I'm ready when a situation may arises (big buck/bull on the sunny horizon) needed I guess.
