There are a lot of things that could be going on. Novice hunters who didn't know the area. I know a number of hunters that wait until they get back to their vehicle to clean the animal, they heard somewhere that it keeps dirt and debris from getting on the meat. I just as soon as get rid of...
You can do a lot of it on your own. Go into the CP&W web site and go to the statistics page then start going through them and see what you can draw with 10 points, and if it was me I would drop the points down to 8 if I really wanted to draw the tag in 2020.
Then once you have the units that...
I often have others ask me why I shot a elk 3 or 4 times when they were dead with the first shot.
I just look at them and figure that they have never hunted elk before. You shoot until they are on the ground.

If you look at any non residents odds in any state and most of them are so far out there that you need to be a young man to start putting in.
However, Utah works on bonus points and not preference points in the LE and OIL hunts. Plus if there are more than just 1 tag offered 50% go to the top...
This year was a strange year. In both the states that I chased mule deer they were not where they should of been and were hard to find. I started in Colorado with a muzzle loader tag. I went with a neighbor who had a secrete spot, well that is a good spot. It is so secrete that even the deer...
The problem with the way that the spider bull was taken down was that it was during a muzzle loader season and the shooter used a high power rifle. However he was hunting on a auction tag and like it or not it put over $400,000 into the G&F bank account. It's been long enough that I don't...
