Had some deer steaks left over from last season. They go through the jerky slicer perfectly. :) If it was up to me I think I would turn every animal into jerky. I love the stuff. Also, I have had these wally world dehydrators for 15 years. They work great and cost next to nothing.

On another note for as long as I can remember my Dad always said my Aunt Betty was "trophy size" and "no game cart could ever carry her". I believe he pinwheeled that one unless there is some form of titanium new contraption that has hit the market....lol

My personal favorite crow load is the 1-1/4 ounce longshot loads for crows with #8 shot. Always did like looking at how many chances I had to kill something with one blast...lol

Ever try layout blinds with snowcovers? I used those a lot and almost felt bad for the birds...almost.....lol

I sure miss river duck hunting. It was one of my favorite things to do. I never had a fancy blind though. I always ditched the boat and hunted out of layout blinds. Thanks for sharing!

Only think rougher than watching a coyote take a fawn down would be the video of those wolves killing those peoples dogs in their back yard that I watched yesterday. The little black dog though he was badass up until he found out the wolves were the real badasses..... Nature is tough.

Could you have turned the doe tag back in? Just curious for future reference. Never-mind my question. It doesnt look like they allow that uless you have some pretty extreme circumstances.

I tried to get an antelope tag and a mule deer tag. I only drew the mule deer tag and I could have for sure killed a couple damn nice antelope if I had drawn that tag. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't draw both because the deer hunting was a full time job! I wish I would have applied for a doe...

I trace a template I made when I was 12 years old and cut out a plaque from whatever scrap wood is lying around and write the year on the front. On the back I write what state, whats county, and what weapon I killed it with. When I am an old man (If I make it to be one) I may be able to hide...

I read somewhere that those rifle barrels are extremely easy to shoot out. Any truth to that? Just wondering how many rounds the people said the barrel was good for. Awsome rifle and pictures btw!

I understood it that also if you drew an OTC tag you lost your points for that species as well. But I may have taken that out of context as there is a lot of reading there. I'll wait to see the regulations when they come out as well to make sense of it all I guess. It will be several years...
