Very nice. I have their 12x50s and I like them a lot … but your new ones will definitely be easier to carry.

I used a straight spotter for years but recently made the switch to angled. The angled version seems to work much better for most hunting scenarios … just maybe not road hunting.;)

I like Sitka's Timberline Pants a lot. They're very good … check 'em out.

I agree … I was one of them a few years ago. I'd take that .300 because you like the way it makes big animals go bang flop. Alaskan moose are most definitely big animals.

I'm 20 years ahead of you in age and also did the Army thing for 27 years (Ranger school in 1980) etc, etc. I have lot's of aches and pains but I can still get 'er done … and I'm sure you'll be able to also. You nailed it with "... still getting were I need to go just not as fast as I used to be."

I signed on right at 09:00 and was just trying for a deer tag in an average area … the leftover list said there were nearly 50 available. I made it all the way to the final page to order it by 09:10 (everything was very slow) but then it came back as none available … so I guess they all sold out...
