Lots of states are doing this. Especially since GPS are now so cheap and there are many programs out there that tell where you are and who owns the land...public & private.

The US Supreme Court refused to take the appeal without comment. This means corner crossing is legal in the western states represented by the 10th Circuit Appeals Court (Ok. NM, Co, Wy & Ut) With the money the guy has, I doubt this is over, his attorneys will find something else to file suite...

Slugs, The unit I like to hunt has had a 50% cut in the number of tags. No doe/fawn and big cuts in buck tags. 6 years ago (the last time I drew a tag), we saw almost as many bucks as does. I still don't think it has recovered as some friends who live there tell me.

I don't know why the big price increase, but IMHO it is just $$$$, no crystal ball. You really have to be careful in choosing the Special Draw. There are units that actually take more point than the regular points draw. You need to look at the history of the both draws in the unit you want to...

Just read that they were killed by a lightning strike. The coroner thinks there were together under tree that got stuck too.

It is pretty close for me as unit 81 is one of my favorite units in Colorado. The west part has some really rough country and a Wilderness area too.

Just checked my source and they were both found dead today. No details yet. Both were young, fit and experienced hunters. There truck was found at a trailhead SE of Wolf Creek and they were hunting during the big storm last week. My source was another Forum and the "The Colorado Sun".

Has anyone been follow the story about 2 Archery Elk hunters lost in Unit 81? It's been almost a week now.
