I have yet to have a bad one but one old cow a buddy shot was pretty tough. Her burger was amazing though. I like elk steak a little better but moose burger has the edge over elk burger for me.

I don't want to see any added restrictions and I believe many that are in place are wrong. I do have an issue with the way #24 was worded. I think many will answer yes to the questions but keep in mind that would be adding restrictions in places like Wyoming where no permit is required.

I have strongly considered a new one over the past year. I really like some of the new Hoyt models but they are more than I want to spend. I'll probably stick with my 13 year old bow that still seems to get the job done if I do my part.

I think it would depend on the area. I have been within archery range of legal rams many times while hunting other species in southern Wyoming. That is fairly easy terrain so a guy could make multiple stalks a day if you can find the rams. If I drew a tag there, I would try very hard with the...

I prefer to hunt with friends and family. If you are with the right people, it really enhances the experience imo... and the animals come off the mountain a lot faster when spread between many packs.

We took quite a few elk with those back in the late 80s and early 90s. We probably would still be shooting them if we didn't get into long range shooting.

I haven't hunted with them but am pretty familiar with the operation and area 7. They put people on nice bulls and have very little negative feedback out there. You will see a pile of elk and should all shoot a good bull.

I shoot factory 165 grain Hornady Interbonds our of my 30-06. I have taken numerous elk with this load with the furthest being 477 yards- the bull in my avatar. I am not a fan of the solids but they will kill an elk.

I did some quick shopping yesterday for some of the ammo I shoot. It wasn't priced great but I could find most of my standard stuff from reputable suppliers. I am sitting ok right now so I am waiting to buy anything.
