I thought........CWD was in the spinal and brain fluid. I was taught if you don't sever the spinal cord and get that fluid on the meat or bust open the brain cavity and get that fluid on the meat you were fine. Is that not the modern take on this now and has it changed ?

While scouting for a waterfowl hunt for my son and I low and behold I find 3 Sandhills loafing at the big lake. After watching them all day I put them to bed on a shoreline. Next am we are at the glassing spot. Plan is to find em again. Paddle across the lake parallel them and stalk em down...

Yeah we are in that yellow. Mountain foothills zone. Ducks / geese open Oct 2 . No early teal up here so kinda like a big party all at once. I really wish my work schedule allowed me to have a dog. The muds terrible. My legs are hurtin a little this am. 😃 All in all very very thankful...

2 man limit of ducks this am. Blue wing teal, green wing teal, widgeon, pintail and some mallards.

Yep I agree. One goose ass going in the water today and two mallard asses/splashers. 😃🤞

Got em scouted up. Mallards, Pintails, Teal, Buffleheads, Hooded Mergansers, Canada Geese and the Coot Army looks strong. Im gonna try and not shoot Teal on the opener and just pull the trigger on big ducks and geese. Grassing in the sneak boat this afternoon.

Was able to finally align schedules and get this guy back. Thanks to Winchester for coming over to offload him! Wood was from the kill site. He turned out great and Im so happy. I sat around for an hour last night tv off just looking at him and replaying the memories.

Out of the 50 or so club properties we have pits in 80%of them. Here we dig em with a back hoe them put lids/covers on them.

Keeps the hunters in one spot. One way in and out off the field. Less compaction is the biggest reason here in Colorado I see them using them.
