The piece that is so hard to put on TV is how much work it took to get to the point of the shot. Using hounds is about the only effective way to do it but it does not gaurantee kill.

This was one of my favorite hunts to watch this year, I'm partial though because I have had the pleasure of hunting with Hunter quite a bit.

Layouts have pretty much been a field endeavor for us, but if we hadn't built a blind on one property two weeks ago lay outs might have been a part of the discussion. We have used them in the first split for teal hunts next to ponds though.

Welcome to the forum and I am glad to see that the forum is becoming a family tradition!

Here is a video from Todd's first hunt at our go to blind, I had been in there for a decent hunt earlier in the season. We ended the day with a two man limit with birds showing up late in the morning. If you haven't yet, please subscribe to the channel, lots of good stuff coming!

We have done that too, but for the most part we build impromptu blinds or just get well hidden by the brush.

Felt like dog crap over the weekend, so I took the week off. Feeling better and having a good week of sleep since I have the midnight feeding.
