Have you run any copper solvent through your barrel? Sounds like you have put a good amount of rounds through your gun and it my be foiled with copper. I would still spring for a Leopold but if you haven’t already you may want to clean your barrel with a quality solvent.

The thing that I can’t understand is why was there a live round anywhere near the set? Really sad situation anyway you look at it, just leaves me dumbfounded!

I purchased a .280 rem for my wife about 25 years ago. It became my son’s gun when he turned 12. We’ve killed lots of stuff with it over the years. I agree it does it all, I personally think it’s the best of all the 30-06 based rounds. Very large variety of bullet weights and types available for it.

[ I have seen many video’s like this and the thing that strikes me every time is the speed that they cover ground. One of the reasons as a flat lander, I avoid hunting in areas with grizzlies.

The area my daughter and I hunted this year didn’t have tons of antelope but there were a lot of fawns, lots of twins. We were just west of Casper and I have never hunted this are prior to this year so I can’t say if the population is up or down.

It depends on the walk in. The one I was on last week did not allow vehicles on the two tracks. I have been on many other ones that did.

I literally just arrived in Casper, I drove across 90 to Gillette and south through Midwest to Casper. It’s been 4 years since I’ve made this drive and in my opinion the Antelope population seems to be at most 50% of what I remember. I really hope I am wrong. Did see some really good bucks though.
