sadly I don't think the truth is enough. I believe the majority of the people that vote on this wont even think about it. or the science behind any of it, just that they will get to see "pretty wolves running around"
I really like my VX5. Zeiss v6 looking very tempting also. most the guys I know with browning rifles are all happy with them. I know the 3 in my family will all shoot sub 3/4 MOA with 5 shot groups.
my wife and I were talking about this a couple weeks ago. I think we will be attending next year if all goes well. Never been to it and always hear good things about it.
I agree about the 280rem and 280AI. Couple of my favorite rounds. but the 270,25/06 have a very good track record. I might have missed it somewhere but I don't think I seen anyone recommend a new stock for the 30/06? I have done this for a couple of rifles and the felt recoil was considerably...
Thanks!
Appreciate the info.
Very interesting set up, sounds like it works very well.
i took some pics to show comparison of javelin to a pic type mount (didn't come out great)
hope this helps.
I am not sure how to feel on this? keep $$ longer and later results, hmmm. I think point creep will increase as more will build points until they can confirm the year that they can draw a tag. if later results I would just prefer a later application deadline. that's just my opinion.
I like it better than I thought I would. it fits in a small sleeve which captures it in place. the mount is roughly 1 1/2" long and it mounts using sling swivel stud. ( other options also available). I have used it on my 280AI now for 4 yrs and its in my pack mostly but when I can laydown and...
the javelin is 5oz if I remember correctly and it uses a magnet. its a quick and easy attachment, I don't leave it on. I agree about not liking to have a bipod on full time. really effects the feel of my rifle after finding a stock that fits so well.
Thanks
Bipod is a Rugged Ridge. I agree on bipod prices, I have 3 different ones currently and still not sure there is one I like for all my applications? I like my sparten Javelin for most hunting type use. mostly because its compact light and for a lot of my hunting use a backpack is good. but...
I would love to post a pic of rifle but for some reason my phone wont let me on forum. it starts to come up the tapatalk pops up then it returns to my web browser.
good choice on the 28Nosler, I just had got one this year also. end of hunting season though. similar weight but chose a ATAC 4-16. still 195gr bullets. what twist and length did you choose for your barrel? I got a Benchmark Carbon on mine 25"
