Here's a screen shot of just a single forum, the Announcements one of the number of spam post that we received between 6 and 7:30 am Mountain time today. There are 4 other forums that have about the same amount.
It could be as you said, something that Scott put in place to kill the spammers.
My unofficial count is that we are getting hit between 20-40 times a day by them. The last one today was around 7:30 Mountain time. But there are usually only a few that hit during the daytime hours. Tonight...
If you look at the specifications it shows that it is 6 1/4" tall. Plenty of room for a pistol to be upright like buckbull has in his picture.
Like a lot of things you might need to look at one in person to see it it meets your needs.
Is anyone else getting a Security Verification page when they try to access the main pages? I have gotten it a number of times after I close out my browser and then come back on. Once I had to verify that I wasn't a robot but all the other times it goes through.
I used one of HF rifle cases on my trip to South Africa a couple years ago and was quite impressed with it.

No experience with them but I like Leopold scopes.
Vortex has a 1x red dot prism scope that would be legal but I have zero experience with it.
My eyes are not the best either. I plan on placing a peep sight on the rear of my Utah muzzle loader that used to wear a scope along with a new front...
I've heard that from a couple of sources, it is too bad that they most likely will still be the 24mm objective instead of stepping it up to a 32mm objective for a little bit more light.
