    Gunnison Area Snow?

Snow level for my area just off of I-70 and Glenwood Canyon was down to around 9,000' last night. I haven't heard a bugle yet this year that I would saw was a elk.

    Wolves

The ballot question was just if they needed to reintroduce wolves. The actual ballot text was: Shall there be a change to the Colorado Revised Statutes concerning the restoration of gray wolves through their reintroduction on designated lands in Colorado located west of the continental...

The Anti's are At It Again, Colorado Mountain Lions

They started years ago when they got rid of spring bear hunts and being able to use dogs. That same ballot did away with a lot of trapping and required hunters to salvage the meat from mountain lions and a number of other animals that were hunted.

    Wolves

One of the stipulations on the reintroduction was no wolves east of the Contenatal Divide. A couple others were no wolves on Tribal Lands, and a minimum of 50 miles from the state border. As if the wolves have maps and GPS's

    Wolves

Just saw on the news tonight that they have the final spot for the first release of wolves here in Colorado. It will be from Vail to Glenwood Springs, south to Aspen. So just a bit north on I-70 down to Aspen in that box. I live right in the middle of it. Low elk population, mule deer...

    Private land for older/Mobility Impaired?

Hi Mr Vermonster, long time no see. Hope all is going well down in sunny California unless you moved. Would your dad like a cow or a bull? I know at one time Garvey Brothers out of Nucla, Colorado were able to get private land cow tags and even perhaps bull tags. You might try contacting...

Not a thing. On the application I remember seeing that they would send a copy of it to us. I was starting to wonder if I had screwed up.

    2024 AZ Spring Hunts

I talked to my hunting partner yesterday about putting in for the HAM's. But we were thinking that unless fuel drops some we just may stay home. That $1000 fuel bill for the trip down and back starts to bite the wallet a little.

    WY Mule Deer King Buck

As they say, a buck like that doesn't get big by being stupid. They usually end up getting poached. A friend had a encounter with a giant buck out in the Utah desert canyons.

    Monsoons

We're starting to get a 10 minute shower each day along with flash flood warnings which will close down I-70 through Glenwood Canyon if they turn into a flash flood watch.

On the moose hunts people need to differentiate between the species and where you want to hunt them. A Alaskan Yukon moose hunt is going to be up there in cost where as a Shiras moose hunt is going to be a lot more affordable. And since what most hunters are putting in for here in the lower...

If you have never been on a guided hunt you need to think about it. On my bear hunt in British Colombia I was just as much of a hunter as I am when I go out by my self. But the outfitter knew where to go instead of me having to spend week, and or months trying to research the area. I was a...

    Re-Wilding Bison

I have no idea other than Colorado just didn't want to deal with them and the testing for brucellocsis like Utah does. As a FYI, every bison hunter in Utah has to take a blood sample from their kill and send it in for testing. In all the years that Utah has had a bison herd they have never had...

    Re-Wilding Bison

It is interesting here in Colorado that the CP&W was approached by the Utah DWR when Utah established a bison herd in the Book Cliffs north of I-70 between the Green River and the Colorado boarder and asked if they would be interested in a joint effort in establishing a hunt able herd...
