The 40 acre deer refuge 2023

Lot of bucks made it through this year. Next year should be good if I can get the food plots established. Season closes Sunday at dark. Monday, I set coyote and coon traps…..

Happy New year. Starting 2023 out with a nasty cold. Progress is slow. But it is progress. Board by board.

    Recommended Day Pack

I like my badlands. It's much quieter than a lot of the cordura fabrics that are out there. It holds all of my unnecessary junk that for some reason I continue to carry with me. lol

That was quite a meat cache. Clearly, they had dealt with bears before in that area. Would have loved to see those dogs running that bear off I bet that was some intense barking action....lol

    Dream Buck

I would love to have GPS data on that deer after he is dead and gone just to see how he survived. I bet you it would be eye opening as to that deer's habits.

    Youngest son

My advice: Get him off that thing before he ends up in a wheelchair, having his parents give him sponge baths for the rest of his life like my friend Phil did. Phil was also "chasing adrenaline". Now he can't move anything but his head. He was 15 when it happened. Just saying.

    Spam posters

Seems to me that there could be a forum where the first post of any new user goes strictly to an introductory forum. Basically, new users would only be allowed to post 1 post until the moderator approves them. Then after moderator review, you can select a button approving them that would allow...

    Hunting Doe

I got no problem with taking a doe or two as long as there is a healthy population of deer. The people I have a problem with are the guys who are willing to shoot a doe, but they won’t shoot a coyote because they don’t want to scare the deer away….. coyotes kill several does/fawns every...

    Big time Poacher Bust
