    Sidearm preference

I am a wheelgun guy. At least a .44 mag in a double action revolver, preferably a S & W. But when I have hunted in Grizzley country, I carried bear spray too.

    Berry Bullets - pistol loading

Found the problem. I shot today and Berry was right. No crimp on the case. I adjusted the seating depth so about 1/10 of an inch of the bullet is protruding out of the case and no crimp. Shot 50 rounds and no problems. Thanks for all your input and comments.

    2022 Fishing thread

Spent a month in Alaska in 2019. Had a great time and great fishing & clamming. Had another trip booked for 2020, but Covid nixed that one. Looking at maybe going this summer, but Covid is sticking it's ugly head up again.

    Berry Bullets - pistol loading

Talked to Berry Bullets today and they said that the copper coating was peeling off. I sent them the pictures I posted here. After discussion, they think I am seating the bullet too deep. I seat the bullet with a slight roll over the bullet with the case crimp. That is what is peeling off the...

    Utah Outlaws All Trail Cameras

If I saw those 2 trees with the cameras attached like that, I'd get a can of orange spray paint and paint them all....camera lens included. In fact I think I'll start carrying a can with me for just that. LOL

    Berry Bullets - pistol loading

I shoot in a weekly Bulls Eye Pistol League. My centerfire is a S & W Target Masterpiece in .38 special. I reload all my own loads. I normally use Speer Bullets, but havn't been able to get any recently. Some of our shooters use Berry Bullets (a copper coated lead bullet ((not jacketed)). I use...

    2022 hunts!

I've got 11 points for Colorado elk and I have to decide what I am going to do with them. I just turned 80, so I'll need to use them in the next few years. Trying to put together a Wyoming antelope hunt. No deer this year as I used all my points last fall. I have e few points for Colorado...

    California bear hunting

The High Sierras have a pretty good population of bears. I have killed several while deer hunting. Check the California regs for seasons. There is also a huntable population in the Kernville/Lake Isabella area.

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

You probably are on the high side as far as pressure goes. Watch your brass for length and splitting near the rim.

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

Usually when a bolt is stiff opening, it's because you are loading a little hot. Your chamber could be at minimum dimensions and along with a hot load cause that situation. What do your primers look like after shooting? If they are flattened or cratered around the firing pin strike, then you are...

FL Bushing Die then Expander Mandrel to Set Neck Tension

I don't full length size on any brass that has been shot in the rifle I'm loading for. I neck size only as the previously fired case has already been properly sized for that particular rifle by it's chamber. I do check case length and if I have to trim, I do inside/outside chamfer the case...
