    2020 goals/desires

You'll have a great adventure with your son even if no tag filled. I have a gut feeling with your knowledge you'll make it happen. I'll be doing my usual stuff here in WY. I might cash in my IA points for deer. Hopefully I can draw a WY buffalo tag.

    Sleeping bag fill???

Here's a light zero bag. Most of the bags your looking for will be in the 3lb range. Get a good sea to summit waterproof compression bag and you should be good. The Kuiu bags are good and they can get wet, but a little pricey. You might want to look at the one I attached...

    Ordered New Sleeping Pad

I'll let you know once it shows up. The one I purchased only weighs a little over 19oz's. The regular price is over $219 it was on sale and I paid $164. The stuff sack is used to inflate it. IMO the comfort justifies the cost.

    Ordered New Sleeping Pad

My Neoair I've had for sometime is starting to lose some air. I saw Sea to Summit had the Ether light pad on sale. I know there a little heavier than the Neoair, but they get great reviews and are 4in thick. There also suppose to be quiet and have a very good R value. I really prefer...

Something more to ponder during application periods

It was mainly because NR were complaining the WY G&F wasn't allocating enough tags. The dept sets tag numbers in May after the winter. I know a lot folks liked the early draw. It actually benefited them so they could apply in other states.

    Grizzle bear question

Yes, the first areas you listed do have Grizzlies, but not as many as the some other areas. In areas 13, 15, and 21 no grizzly, but like stated lots of hunters. If your willing to work you can get opportunities. It's best to take two weeks vacation, and you should have a good overall hunt.

    Another Poacher,,,

Sad , but unfortunately some folks just have break the law, then brag about it on social media etc. It's the mentality of look at me I'm the greatest hunter. It also happens in all kinds sports etc.

What do you do with your horns/antlers?

I usually keep them in my shop. I've given quite a few away for antler lighting projects and other stuff. I have the field pictures and that's good enough for me.

    Kansas

Yes, it was guided. I won it when my name was put in the hat for purchasing a new bow. It was in SE part of the state. I had a great hunt, but just didn't see the caliber of buck I wanted to shoot.

    Tag Soup 2019

Filled my WY limited quota elk tag and my additional whitetail tag. Didn't fill my WY general deer tag. I went to KS in November on a guided archery deer hunt, and didn't fill that either. I passed up some decent bucks but really wanted a 150 or better. Overall my year was pretty good...
