What Is Your Favorite All Around Caliber...And Why????

Well my lack of patience got the best of me today. Had an extra set of Wby bases here so I torqued them up, robbed the VX-3i & QD rings off my 300 Wby and out back the new 6.5-300 & I went. Following the Wby barrel break-in as always, I was a lil distraught about the accuracy until the last...

All setup and had the stove rolling for a few days to test it out as well. I even crashed in it last night just to try out the new cot, sleeping pad & bag. It was 28 and snowed/sleeted alot last night & I was toasty warm, dry and woke up to a 52 degree tent, couldnt be much happier with the...

What did you get for Christmas?!?!

My first Montana Canvas wall tent, complete with their aluminum frame. Had to set it up to play with it. Took about 40 mins total by myself and that includes attaching all the guy ropes to the grommets for the first time. Currently 39 here but a cozy 75 in the tent haha. Can?t wait to spend a...

reloading the 25-06? Velocitiy low with 100gr bullets

This should get you by until you get that turret. Elevation is most likely incorrect but it can be easily adjusted if you provide your elevation.

reloading the 25-06? Velocitiy low with 100gr bullets

Here ya go! Nosler’s load data has usually produced great accuracy for me. IMR 7828 has always produced very accurate loads for me in multiple calibers. You may also consider going up to 110gr, often similar velocity with a heavier bullet & higher BC produces more on-target energy.

Well....the welder in me just couldn’t bear the thought of paying upwards of $400 for a wood stove to use 1 week/yr, so I knocked the dust off the ol’ welding hood and for $160 this is what I crafted. It’s 16x16x24 made from 1/8” & 3/16” steel. It is by no means meant to be packed into the...

Lincoln Park Campground Saratoga / Ryan Park Area

Has anyone ever made base camp at the Lincoln Park campground near Saratoga. Wondering if that may be a good place to set up camp and work from there via all the travel methods (foot, UTV and truck). I see it is closed by elk rifle season but is still able to be used. Also trying to find out if...

    Wall Tent Suggestions

Hello all, for lack of a tent-specific section in the gear area, I'm posting here to see what everyone would suggest for a wall tent. I've looked at everything from "The Wall Tent Shop.com" to the Cabela's Alaknak. I plan to use this tent for years to come on Wyoming and Colorado elk hunts, so...
